Women workers of EIC celebrated the inteational womens day on March 12, 2010 with a discussion entitled "what works for working women?"

Mr. Yewoundwossen Eteffa, Managing Director of Ethiopian Insurance Corporation in his opening speech confirms that the corporation is committed to empower women by education, training, affirmative actions and the like.

Following his speech Mr. Dereje Alemu, representative from Inteational Labor Organization ILO gives an explanation on gender related issues.

According to Mr. Dereje the objective of organizing the event is to create awareness on gender equality, give information on gender related issues and celebrate the inteational womens day.

The top management team, representative from Ethiopian Bank & Insurance workers industry federation and 143 women workers of the corporation has attended the discussion.
