Munich Re conducted a three days training for claims managers from Ethiopian Insurance Corporation, Awash Insurance Company, Nib Insurance Company and Nyala Insurance Company at the Ethiopian Insurance Corporation%u2019s auditorium from August 2-4, 2010. In related news the experts from the Munich Re also gave briefing on claims management and the relationship the companies has with Munich Re for top managements of the mentioned companies on August 5, 2010 at the same auditorium for half a day.

Mr. Yewondwossen Eteffa, Managing Director, Ethiopian Insurance Corporation in his opening remark said that the major duty of an insurance company is to properly settle clients%u2019 claims which requires well trained & efficient personnel.

Training on progress

The training covers, claims management of natural hazards, property insurance, liability, aviation, piracy, fire risk and the like.

Twenty six claims managers from Ethiopian Insurance Corporation and other insurers have attended the three days training and the last half day training is prepared for the top officials.

Munich Reinsurance Company is one of the re-insurers that EIC works in partnership and receives many supports from the company.
