Ethiopian Insurance Corporation has paid a claim of Birr 21.1 million to Kangaroo Plast Factory on 16th January, 2012 at the Corporation’s Management Meeting hall for a property loss due to fire accident which was occurred three months ago.

On the claim settlement ceremony, Ato Yewondwossen Eteffa, Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Insurance Corporation said that the claim is such a large amount that it witnesses EIC is always the reliable partner and it will also continue to be  in the future.

According to the CEO, settling this claim on time will enable the factory to come back to its previous status and to save its employees from being jobless which in tu assures the continuity of its contribution in the growth of the country’s economy.

The officials of the factory have also expressed their happiness for the reason that they never expected to get such a large amount of money so timely.

They have also expenses that EIC is truly the reliable partner and promised to insure the rest of their companies and other projects when they will go operational.

It is to be recalled that EIC paid about 25 million Birr for Agriculture Input Supply Enterprise in April, 2010.
